Donald Trump has apparently had to cancel his plans to attend the upcoming Miami GP.

According to The Washington Post, Trump's associate, Steve Witkoff, had set up a fundraising gathering at the Paddock Club of the F1 event. The invited guests "were told the event was for Trump and would cost $250,000," as reported by the newspaper, which also noted that preparations had gone so far as to involve the secret service coordinating with race officials.

The organizers of the Miami GP responded by "sending a cease and desist letter," indicating that the fundraising activity would violate the terms agreed upon for the Paddock Club.

The letter clearly stated, "If this is true, we regret to inform you that your suite license will be revoked, you will not be allowed to attend the race at any time, and we will refund you in full."

In his response to inquiries, real estate mogul Witkoff dismissed the claims, stating, "This is something fake, for sure."
