Real Madrid line up a two-year contract offer for club captain Sergio Ramos, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a two-year contract offer for club captain Sergio Ramos.

The central defender's existing deal in the Spanish capital is due to expire in June 2021, meaning that, as it stands, he would be free to discuss a move to another club in January.

A recent report claimed that Madrid had yet to offer the inspirational figure fresh terms despite the fact that his contract will soon enter its final six months.

However, according to AS, Los Blancos are preparing to offer the 34-year-old a two-year deal to keep him at the Bernabeu until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

The report notes that Madrid only usually offer one-year extensions to players over 30 but are willing to make an exception for Ramos, who scored his 100th goal for the club against Inter Milan on Tuesday night.

The Spaniard has made 659 appearances for his current side in all competitions, winning five La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns since arriving from Sevilla in 2005.
