Real Madrid defender Nacho provides an update on his future, with the Spaniard's contract at Bernabeu expiring at the end of June.

Experienced defender Nacho has said that he is "very happy" at Real Madrid but has revealed a decision over his future at club level has not yet been made.

The 33-year-old's contract at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and there have been claims that he could move on this summer in search of a fresh challenge, with clubs from the MLS thought to be keen.

Nacho has been a regular for Los Blancos this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions, and he will be an important player for Carlo Ancelotti's side in the second half of the campaign, as both Eder Militao and David Alaba have ACL injuries.

The Spaniard captained Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday, playing the full 120 minutes of the tie.

Nacho is again set to start against Barcelona in the final of the competition on Sunday, and he has revealed his happiness at the club ahead of El Clasico.

The defender also hinted that there is a contract offer on the table, but he is yet to make a decision, as the opportunity to play in North America is thought to appeal to him.

"I am very happy in my life. Last year I was more worried about what was going to happen going forward and when I was I played everything until the end of the season," Nacho told reporters.

"I'm playing a lot, I feel good, I'm not worried about my future. My relationship with the club is great, if I want to sign tomorrow I could do it."

Nacho has spent his entire career at Real Madrid, featuring on 339 occasions for the club since debuting in 2011, and he has been a vital squad player for the capital outfit despite rarely being a part of the regular first XI.

"Barcelona are strong, they have their history. They won La Liga and the Super Cup, but it doesn't matter if they are strong or weak, we have to give our best and go for the title," the defender added when questioned on the clash with Barcelona.

"It's a big boost if we win the first title of the season. If you win you haven't won anything and if you lose it's the opposite. It's a confidence boost for the rest of the season.

"We are ready for the big games. It motivates us to play matches like tomorrow's. We are ready and it gives us peace of mind. We are prepared and it gives us peace of mind.

"A very nice opportunity. All titles are important and it doesn't matter who lifts them. At the end of the day the important thing is to win and win another title."

Toni Kroos, Lucas Vazquez and Luka Modric also only have deals until the end of the campaign, and it is thought that the latter will leave for the Saudi Pro League.
