Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly pushing to leave Manchester United and join Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

The 37-year-old was not involved in United's 4-1 defeat away at Manchester City on Sunday, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick claiming his absence was due to a hip injury.

Ronaldo is believed to have been left 'furious' after being told that he would not start at the Etihad Stadium, which resulted in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner taking a trip to his native Portugal for warm-weather training.

According to FootballTransfers, Ronaldo is already planning to move away from Old Trafford, with PSG the most likely destination, linking up with Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The report adds that a return to Serie A with Juventus has been ruled out, while a reunion with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon is also highly unlikely.

Since Rangnick replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November, Ronaldo has scored only three goals in 14 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions.
