Bernardo Silva confirms that he will remain at Manchester City despite being linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the transfer window.

Bernardo Silva has confirmed that he will remain at Manchester City amid speculation linking him with an exit.

The Portugal international had been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, with Barcelona believed to be leading the race for his signature.

Paris Saint-Germain were also rumoured to be interested, but the Catalan giants looked set to sign Silva if he left the Premier League champions.

However, City CEO Ferran Soriano indicated that the player would not leave, while Pep Guardiola recently stated that Silva would be staying at the club.

Ahead of the transfer deadline, the player himself has confirmed to Barcelona radio station El Barca juga a RAC1 that he will remain a Man City player.

Silva said: "I'm staying in Manchester, here I'm happy and the decision has been made."

The 28-year-old has started City's last three matches, scoring twice and contributing two assists.
