Barcelona legend Gerard Pique is reportedly set to make a stunning return to football with FC Andorra, the club that he bought in 2018.

Gerard Pique is reportedly reconsidering his retirement and plans to return to football with the club that he owns, FC Andorra.

The 35-year-old retired two months ago, and declared that he would never play for another team after leaving Barcelona, however it appears he has made a stunning U-turn on that decision.

Spanish outlet Revelo reports that the World Cup and European Championship winner is seriously considering a sensational return with the club that he bought in December 2018.

There are numerous obstacles to the Spaniard's return; the red card he received in his final match at Camp Nou, a potential conflict of interests and financial constraints.

According to the report, once the ban is served or expires, then La Liga will decide whether there is a conflict of interest between Pique the owner and Pique the player, but the biggest hurdle is the salary cap.

The club's current salary cap would not allow the player to sign, even for 'minimum wage' - instead, Pique would have to 'pull levers' to increase the club's sponsorship and acquire more capital in another way to facilitate his own signing.
