Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi is a transfer target for Chelsea and Arsenal, according to a report.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi during the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old has made 15 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side during the 2021-22 campaign but has only found the back of the net on three occasions, with the majority of his outings coming off the bench.

Icardi is yet to start a Champions League match this term, while he has featured from the start on just six occasions in Ligue 1, with the Argentine down the pecking order at PSG.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the forward could leave his current side when the January transfer window opens for business, and both Chelsea and Arsenal are showing an interest.

Icardi, who has a contract with Pochettino's team until June 2024, has scored 36 times and registered 10 assists in 77 appearances for Les Parisiens in all competitions.

Arsenal are looking to sign another striker due to the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, while Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is also believed to be keen to add another player in the final third of the field.
