Report: Massimiliano Allegri ready to accept Arsenal job

A report claims that Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is ready to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal should the Frenchman be sacked in the summer.

Arsenal have reportedly been given a boost in their pursuit of Massimiliano Allegri, as the Juventus manager has indicated that he is ready to replace Arsene Wenger in the summer.

The 50-year-old was rumoured to be the Gunners' top target at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, only for Wenger to retain his job following a third FA Cup triumph in four years.

According to The Sun, however, the man who ended Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League dream in midweek could be on his way to North London in the next few months.

Allegri, also previously linked with Antonio Conte's job at Chelsea, has admitted that he would like to manage in the Premier League and is learning English to help his cause.

Wenger, meanwhile, is heading for the worst Premier League finish of his 22-year reign and is now supposedly relying on the Europa League to save his job.
