The new series of The Only Way Is Essex could feature a trip to Dubai, according to a report.

The next series of The Only Way Is Essex could reportedly feature a trip to Dubai.

The long-running reality show typically airs two series a year but this year there is likely to be just one series in the autumn after filming was delayed due to coronavirus.

According to The Sun, part of the reason for the delay is the producers' desire to film abroad, most likely in the influencer hotspot of Dubai.

"TOWIE is still hugely popular with viewers and it was a shame when filming for the new series had to be pushed back," a source told the newspaper.

"But producers are keen to make sure the new series is brilliant and a glam new location is just what they need.

"Dubai is at the top of their list and unsurprisingly the cast are hoping it works out. Either way, they all just want to get back to shooting the show."

Previous foreign jaunts on the show have included Barcelona, Ibiza and Marbella.
