The team on Good Morning Britain allegedly held a "crisis meeting" after Patsy Palmer's disastrous interview on Wednesday.

The production team on Good Morning Britain allegedly held "a crisis meeting" following Patsy Palmer's disastrous interview on Wednesday morning.

The former EastEnders actress cut her interview short just moments in after noticing that she had been branded on screen as "Patsy Palmer: Addict to wellness guru".

Before closing her laptop screen to terminate the chat, she told flustered hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard: "I had [my issues] years ago, they were talked about by me many, many years ago and it's over so I'm not going to talk about it."

According to The Sun, the incident led to a full debrief among key staff, who discussed how the caption came to be displayed on screen.

"On Thursday, the GMB production team were summoned to a meeting about the handling of Patsy's chat," a source told the newspaper.

"Her interview was viewed as a disaster as obviously upsetting anyone is the last thing anyone would want.

"It was made clear to some members of the team that this was a crisis meeting as there were issues that needed addressing quickly."

The faux-pas came just a week after Piers Morgan dramatically quit the show following his fierce criticism of Meghan Markle.
