Piers Morgan: 'I would only return to BGT with Simon Cowell on panel'

Piers Morgan says that should he ever return to Britain's Got Talent it would be dependent on Simon Cowell being part of the judging panel.

Piers Morgan has revealed that any future return to Britain's Got Talent is dependent on Simon Cowell being with him on the judging panel.

The Good Morning Britain host was part of the original lineup on the show alongside Cowell and Amanda Holden, appearing in four series before leaving in 2010.

Morgan was linked with a return to the show this year after Cowell was ruled out of taking part in the final stages due to a back injury - although Ashley Banjo eventually took his place.

"I was approached several times to go back to Britain's Got Talent when Simon Cowell got injured," Morgan told OK! magazine.

"That would have been quite fun, but I'd rather do it with him.

"He and I had a great chemistry and it would have been quite a fun one to go back in and have a laugh with Simon, but he'd have to be involved."

Last week Morgan admitted that he is open to the idea of rejoining the show in the future.
